# Lost Vape Centaurus, the models that actually fit in a pocket

> Lost Vape Centaurus in pocket size, the E40, E40 Ultra, PM100 and M120 compared on dimensions, weight, volume, battery and pod capacity.

Say Centaurus and many vapers picture a dual battery box with a 5 ml tank, the one shop windows push first. Yet the Lost Vape Centaurus name also covers much shorter devices, designed for a jacket pocket. The question is which of them really live up to that idea. This comparison ranks them on five measurable criteria, dimensions, weight, volume, battery and pod capacity, using the manufacturer's own specification pages.

## Which Lost Vape Centaurus fits in a pocket

Among the models with published dimensions, the most compact is the **Centaurus E40**, a pod of 20 × 43.3 × 95 mm and 88.7 g, which works out at about 82.3 cm³. The E40 Ultra comes close behind at 93.5 cm³ and 87.7 g. The PM100 and the M120 box mod move into another class, above 106 cm³, and the PM100 weighs 160 g.

For a shirt or jeans pocket, only the two E40 versions of the Lost Vape Centaurus are true pocket pods. The other two models still travel well, but in a coat pocket or a bag.

These volumes come from multiplying the three published dimensions. They compare bulk rather than shape, and every weight is listed with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 g.

## Centaurus E40 and E40 Ultra, two cartridge pods

Both E40 models share the same 43.3 mm width and the same E Plus cartridge family. What sets them apart is thickness, battery size and the way power is adjusted.

### Centaurus E40, the slimmest in this comparison

The E40 is 20 mm thick, the lowest figure of the four models compared here. Its 1400 mAh built-in battery drives an output of 5 to 40 W, set with a mechanical dial rather than buttons.

It fires on inhale or from the button, and the airflow is adjustable. The supported coil range runs from 0.3 to 1.0 ohm, with E Plus cartridges at 0.3 or 0.6 ohm and an E-Plus RBA cartridge for building your own coil.

A backlit indicator changes colour in 20% steps of charge, from red below 20% to purple above 80%. The Quest 2.0 chip handles the usual protections, short circuit, overheating and overcharging.

### Centaurus E40 Ultra, two modes and a bigger battery

The Ultra adds 2.5 mm of thickness and 1 mm of height, for 22.5 × 43.3 × 96 mm. In return, the battery rises to 1500 mAh and output to 45 W, across a wider coil range of 0.25 to 2.0 ohm.

Power is set with plus and minus keys, and two modes, ECO and BOOST, sit on top of that setting. Replaceable coil E Plus cartridges take UB Elite coils at 0.3, 0.6 and 0.8 ohm, as well as the dual mesh UB Elite DM coils.

### Bigger, and yet lighter

The detail stands out when the two pods are set side by side. The **E40 Ultra** takes up 13.7% more volume than the E40, yet it weighs 87.7 g against 88.7 g.

Given the stated 5 g tolerance, the two pods are level on the scales. Thickness, 20 mm against 22.5 mm, is what makes the difference at the bottom of a pocket, not weight.

## PM100 and M120, the Centaurus that grows for battery life

Beyond the E40 pair, Lost Vape offers in-between formats that sit between pod and box. They still fit in a hand, far less easily in a pocket, and their selling point becomes stored energy.

### Centaurus PM100, a 100 W pod

The PM100 measures 47.4 × 25 × 90 mm and weighs 160 g. Shorter than the E40 by 5 mm, it is a little wider and thicker, 25 mm against 20, and carries a 4500 mAh battery, more than three times the E40's, for an output of 5 to 100 W.

Its 1.66 inch TFT screen and its two cartridges bring it close to a box mod. The first, with a replaceable coil, is aimed at direct lung vaping. The second, with an integrated coil, is aimed at mouth to lung.

### Centaurus M120 and M120 S, a compact box

The M120 is still a box, at 38 × 29.4 × 97 mm and 120 g without a tank. It comes in two versions, the M120 with an external 21700 or 18650 cell and the M120 S with a 5500 mAh built-in battery, both rated 5 to 120 W with a 510 connection.

The supplied Nano MTL tank is 27 mm wide and 51.8 mm tall, a height that comes on top of the box. This is the model to pick if you want to keep a tank of your choice, not to save space.

The range also includes an Ori 35 pod with a 2500 mAh battery. Retailers do not publish matching dimensions for it, so it stays out of the table.

## The pocket table for compact Lost Vape Centaurus models

The table covers the five criteria set out at the start for each compact Lost Vape Centaurus, from the smallest volume to the largest.

| Model | Dimensions (mm) | Volume (cm³) | Weight (g) | Battery | Output |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Centaurus E40 | 20 × 43.3 × 95 | 82.3 | 88.7 | 1400 mAh built-in | 5 to 40 W |
| Centaurus E40 Ultra | 22.5 × 43.3 × 96 | 93.5 | 87.7 | 1500 mAh built-in | 5 to 45 W |
| Centaurus PM100 | 47.4 × 25 × 90 | 106.7 | 160 | 4500 mAh built-in | 5 to 100 W |
| Centaurus M120 and M120 S (box only) | 38 × 29.4 × 97 | 108.4 | 120 | external cell or 5500 mAh | 5 to 120 W |

Measured against volume, the battery tells another story. The PM100 holds about 42 mAh per cm³ and the M120 S about 51, against 17 for the E40 and 16 for the Ultra.

Both E40 models trade stored energy for size, which is exactly what a pocket pod is. The pocket comparison tool on our home page works out the volume of your own devices the same way.

## Centaurus cartridges and the 2 ml rule in the UK

Published capacities refer to the standard version. E Plus cartridges are listed at 3 ml, the PM100 cartridges at 5 ml and 4.5 ml, and the M120 Nano MTL tank at 4 ml.

In the UK, refillable tanks and pods are limited to 2 ml, and nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20 mg/ml in bottles of no more than 10 ml. Only the E40 Ultra page lists its TPD version, a 2 ml cartridge. For the other models, check for the TPD version on the box before buying.

On a pocket pod, the limit matters little, since a cartridge refills in seconds. It matters more on the PM100 used for direct lung vaping, where 2 ml goes quickly at high wattage. The same trade-off between cartridge and draw runs through our guide to [Geekvape Soul 2 cartridges by draw](/uk/geekvape-soul-2-cartridges/).

## Which Centaurus suits the way you vape

The right Lost Vape Centaurus depends less on peak wattage than on the space you have and the adjustments you want. Four profiles emerge from the comparison.

For a first adjustable pod, the **E40** stays the simplest, with a dial that sets power in one movement and the slimmest body in this comparison. If you want to choose your coil, the E40 Ultra offers the wider range of the two E40 models, 0.25 to 2.0 ohm, and two coil families.

Direct lung vaping at high power points to the PM100, provided 160 g in a pocket is acceptable. The M120 suits anyone who keeps a 510 tank of their choice and prefers a box to a pod.

Our pick for the pocket remains the E40. The Ultra only overtakes it if the two modes and the coil range count for more than 2.5 mm of thickness. The same balance between size and settings runs through [the five models of the Aspire Pixo range](/uk/aspire-pixo-range/).

## FAQ

Five questions that remain once the model is chosen.

### Do E40 cartridges fit the E40 Ultra?

The Ultra is listed as compatible with the whole E Plus series, V1 and V2 cartridges, single or dual mesh. An E Plus cartridge bought for the E40 will therefore fit the Ultra.

### How do you stop an E40 Ultra firing in a pocket?

The Ultra has a button lock. Once it is on, the fire button and the power adjustment keys stop responding, while the other functions remain available.

### Which charger works with a pocket Centaurus?

The E40 and E40 Ultra charge over USB-C at 5 V and 1.4 A, and their cable supports a 5 V, 2 A charger. The PM100 supports a 5 V, 3 A charger for faster charging.

### How do you clean an E Plus cartridge?

On a replaceable coil cartridge, remove the coil, rinse the cartridge body in warm water, then let it dry completely before fitting a coil again. The coil itself should not be rinsed.

### Does a pocket Centaurus work with nicotine salts?

Yes for the E40, whose 0.3 and 0.6 ohm E Plus cartridges are listed for both freebase and nicotine salt e-liquids. The higher resistance generally suits salts better, used at moderate power.

## Lost Vape Centaurus, choose the size before the power

Across the line, the **Lost Vape Centaurus** name covers everything from an 82 cm³ pod to a 120 W box. For a pocket, the ranking puts the E40 first, then the E40 Ultra, well ahead of the PM100 and the M120.

Before comparing watts, it pays to compare millimetres and grams, then check the TPD version of the cartridge. Perle Glacée's other features apply the same measure to compact pods from other brands, dimensions and weight first.
